Faculty & Staff
St. Columba employs nine full-time teachers (including two religious sisters) and one full-time teacher aide. There are six part-time faculty who teach Art, Computer Technology, Music, Physical Education, and Pre-School. The Pre-School teacher is assisted by one or more teacher aides. Staff from the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU 16) provide bi-weekly student support for Math, Reading, and Speech/Language Therapy. The CSIU also provides a Social Worker and a School Psychologist for students in need of these services.
In addition to the three R’s of all schools, we add a few more R’s: Religion, Respect, and Reverence. The program at St. Columba School is imbued with the teaching of religion and the formation of Christian principles. With religion classes, prayers each day, the sacrament of Penance four times a year, and weekly Mass, spirituality is both taught and caught.
You are the primary educators of your children; we at St. Columba School will assist you in your great privilege.
Thank you for considering St. Columba School and what it can offer your loved ones.
God will bless you and guide you in your parental vocation.
We will build on the great momentum of the last four years and continue to move St. Columba School forward.
One major objective is to make St. Columba School a magnet school for “TOTAL STUDENT DEVELOPMENT” TSD for short. Basically, TSD implies that we will provide academic, spiritual, and physical development at high ethical and moral standards in all areas to all students. We are the transformers of lives while St. Columba School is the mecca of inspiration and innovation. We imagine brilliant futures for our students whose hearts and minds were opened like tulips unfurling in the sun.
