Prayer Intentions
A Prayer for Religious Vocations
O Jesus, Son of God and of the Virgin Immaculate, dearest Lord, Who at the age of twelve was left behind in the temple for three days in order to do the will of Him who sent You, and to take up Your Father’s business; grant, by the merits of the sorrow which Mary and Joseph suffered from this loss, an increase of vocations for Your holy work, especially from among the children who are entrusted to our care.
Inflame our teachers with zeal to discover and nourish true vocations for You from within our school; and draw these children by Your holy example to remove all obstacles which may hinder them from pursuing their vocations.
Holy Mary, obtain for our parents generosity of spirit and a holy faith and love for your Divine Son, that they may be eager and willing to make sacrifices for their children’s sake, if God should call them to a religious vocation. Amen.
Prayer to End Abortion
Lord God, I thank You today
for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life
than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that You have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the
Pro-Life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

For all the Benefactors of St. Columba School
For all the Benefactors of St. Columba School, we ask God's abundant graces upon them and their families.
Vocation Prayer:
Jesus, our Brother, Your
mission on earth was
to seek out the sick,
rejected, broken, the sinner,
and the forsaken.
Send Your Spirit of mission
and ministry to those You
have chosen
to become priests, brothers,
sisters, or deacons.
We pray that Your Kingdom
of love may spread
into all hearts.
May Your Kingdom come.
Amen.

For The Holy Family
Faithful God, we pray for all families who have been forced from their homes by war, or flood, or the need to find food. Grant them courage as they travel, safety as they seek refuge, and hope for a secure future. And may we, who have been given so much, learn to be generous and welcoming to those who, fearful and needy, seek shelter among us. Amen.
