Our School

Accreditation:

St. Columba School is accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and regulated by the Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg.  The school is a registered candidate with Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools currently in the self-study phase. 

Curriculum Strengths: 

The principal and teachers hold PDE certification including continuing professional development for Act 48 standards.  Music, Art, Physical Education, Computer Technology, and Library Science are taught in K-8.  Computers are integrated in each classroom.  The curriculum follows the Diocese of Harrisburg Curriculum for Elementary Schools and exceeds the requirements for PDE state standards.  St. Columba Middle School, which begins in Grade 5, is departmentalized for math, religion, science, and social studies.

Extracurricular offerings: 

Art Studio, Accelerated Reader, Cooking Club, Culture Club, Digital Imaging Club, Drama, Forensics, Instrumental Music, Intramural Basketball, Liturgical Choir, School Newspaper, Scrapbooking Club, Web Reporters, Sodality, Student Council, Volleyball, Yearbook, and other as determined by student interest and availability of moderators.
